Others assume leading positions in the social life of their community; their memories are important, in order to understand the political process in which the San have become citizens of the modern state of Namibia.
This comprehensive project is headed by Megan Biesele. She is director of the Kalahari Peoples' Fund (KPF). Megan Biesele is an anthropologist and ethnographer.
